ModernAstrology is a free astrology studio. You enter a name, a birth date, a birth time, and a city. The server converts that local time to UTC, then places the Sun, Moon, planets, and angles on the tropical zodiac.

Sun, Moon, and the planets through Neptune follow a well-known low-precision method accurate to about an arcminute for the inner bodies. Pluto uses a curve fit valid across the modern centuries. The mean North Node and mean Black Moon Lilith use standard lunar formulas. Chiron uses recent orbital elements in a simple Keplerian orbit, so treat it as approximate near a sign boundary, especially for birth years far from the present.

The Rising sign and Midheaven come from the local sidereal time, your latitude, and the obliquity of the ecliptic. Houses on the birth chart are whole sign. The Part of Fortune switches formula when the Sun is below the horizon.

Birth details stay in your session so the full chart can open after the Big Three. There is no account, no payment, and no report store.
